Teaching Road Safety to Young Minds at Jindabamrung School

Safe Stripes Society visited Jindabamrung School to teach 3rd - 5th graders essential road safety skills. The session began with icebreakers and a lively presentation covering traffic light meanings, seatbelt and helmet safety, and tips for crossing roads safely.

Students engaged in interactive quiz games, reinforcing their understanding while picking up new English vocabulary. They also played a traffic-themed version of "Red Light, Green Light," incorporating a yellow light to enhance their learning.

The highlight was a hands-on road demonstration puzzle. Students took turns as drivers and pedestrians, navigating a simulated circuit while answering road safety questions. Rules like wearing seatbelts, following traffic lights, and avoiding collisions emphasized the shared responsibility of drivers and pedestrians in ensuring safety.

The session concluded with a pizza party to reward the students for their enthusiasm and reinforce the importance of the lessons learned. Through fun and interactive activities, Safe Stripes Society empowered young learners to play their part in creating safer roads.
